Webinar: The $811 Billion Question - Using AI to Plan, Assure and De-risk Data Center Delivery
Capital, chips and power get the attention. Construction delivery may be the real bottleneck. nPlan's Noah Reneau presents findings from our data center delivery briefing, with live demos of AI for planning, assuring and de-risking data center projects.
About Webinar: The $811 Billion Question - Using AI to Plan, Assure and De-risk Data Center Delivery
We are coming to the end of the beginning of a data center construction boom, with a global pipeline of projects worth $811 billion (Morgan Stanley) and intense, sustained demand. When it comes to data center delivery, much has been said and written about the need to tackle the obvious bottlenecks related to capital for construction, chip availability, and electricity supply. However, one potential bottleneck that has not received nearly enough attention pertains to the actual construction of the campuses and buildings themselves, and the potential for that construction to fall behind schedule.
nPlan's dataset of over 750,000 past project schedules shows how routine delay has become. 88% of data center projects hit setbacks laying foundations. 78% are delayed during installation of cooling and fire alarm systems. 60% ran more than three months late in a single year. And these delays have well-documented financial repercussions: each month of delay added onto the construction of a 100MW facility means the deferral of $9-21M in revenue.
In this webinar, nPlan's Director of Infrastructure, Noah Reneau, presents findings from our data center delivery briefing, followed by a live demo of nPlan’s AI, which has been trained on >750,000 past projects, and can be used to plan, assure and de-risk data center projects.
You'll come away with a practical understanding of what AI can do in this space today, and how to move from reacting to delays to a proactive posture that gives you real control and influence over delivery.
