AI-led forecasting and risk management on the Transpennine Route Upgrade

An nPlan live customer engagement webinar

About
AI-led forecasting and risk management on the Transpennine Route Upgrade

The £10.7bn Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is one of the biggest and most ambitious rail upgrade projects undertaken in the UK in recent decades. Works are taking place along a 122km line which stretches from Manchester to York, serving 23 stations and traversing 29 level crossings, 9.65km of tunnels, and 285 bridges and tunnels along the way.

While the project still has several years to run, it has already been feted for delivering works sequentially, with minimal disruption to passengers, and for its groundbreaking approach to risk and forecasting - an approach developed with–and enabled by–nPlan’s technology.

We recently released a detailed case study showcasing our work with TRU, which generated a huge amount of interest - and many requests for further information on how the project team approaches risk and uses nPlan’s technology to do it. As a result, we’re hosting a unique online event featuring members of the TRU project team at 3:30 PM GMT / 11:30 AM EDT on the 31st of October - and we’d love you to join us 🎉

The webinar will be hosted by nPlan CEO Dev Amratia and he’ll be joined by Richard Palczynski, formerly Programme Controls Director and now Chief of Staff at TRU, to discuss how nPlan has helped TRU:

  • Prepare for track possessions
  • Carry out more frequent, more high fidelity risk assurance
  • Prepare and defend business cases
  • Empower its wider alliance

And much more!

Dev will also be joined by Mike Ellis, PMO Head of Risk at TRU, who will demonstrate how (and why) TRU has incorporated nPlan Insights Pro into its workflows, making this webinar a ‘show and tell’ event!

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear from project professionals at the heart of a rail programme The Times recently described as “a rare success story, which could restore confidence in our ability to deliver big projects”.
